David Herlihy is an actor and a painter from Dublin, Ireland. He works primarily in acrylics and water based oils. A natural storyteller, David’s paintings are a visual expression of how he perceives the world and his experiences within it. He has exhibited at Mart Gallery, Gallery X and most recently at The Ranelagh Arts Festival.

The Red Coat is a recent work that caused David to reflect on his relationship with the colour red, his favourite colour, and how it evoked a series of memories from childhood.
